Week 5 (Feb. 16th)Galaxy
vs PSV Blue
Galaxy took on PSV Blue Friday night before the nasty
weather blew in. PSV Blue was like the nasty weather.
They came in like blizzaed winds and scored a quick 3
goals on Galaxy. Galaxy didn't give up and tried to fight
their way back in, but PSV Blue was well coached and their
boys knew exactly how to attack our defense. The final
score PSV Blue 9 Galaxy 1. With one game to go Galaxy
is a bit discouraged, but the coaching staff is hopeful
for a strong finish. Hope springs eternal!

AS Monaco vs
Fluminense
AS Monaco made the long trek to Rio to take on the Big
Flu. It was a close, back and forth game that had both
teams exhausted by the end. The home team scored first,
but the Red and White responded with two goals by Ally
and one by Grace. Fluminense notched the next three to
take a 4-3 lead at half. The Brazilians started the second
with two goals, but Monaco responded with two goals by
Hannah and another by Liz& Kirsten as they fought
each other to finish and tie the match. Fluminense added
the game winner late in the match in an entertaining,
well played game.
Marseille vs
Hearts
Marseille and the Hearts squared off in a tough, low
scoring, defensive struggle. Marseille held a 2-1 halftime
lead on two goals by Alyssa. Alyssa was able to complete
the hat trick in the second, but that was the only scoring
for Marselle as the Hearts dominated the play late and
added 4 goals to take the win.
